Gabriel Martinelli's training performance has been praised by Steve Round, in Amazon Prime's Arsenal: All Or Nothing

Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has been described as a ‘diamond’ and one of the hardest workers in the squad.

Steve Round, one of Mikel Arteta’s coaches at Arsenal, described Martinelli as someone he loves, is a diamond and that the Brazilian ‘trains everyday like it’s last day on earth.’

In the episode, Arsenal are preparing for a game against West Ham, who were in fourth spot at the time when Round made the statement, speaking to technical director, Edu.

In the game Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring with a cool finish into the bottom corner, and Arsenal would go onto win the game 2-0.

It’s no secret that Martinelli is one of the top youngsters in the entire world, joining Arsenal as an 18-year-ol in 2019 for £6 million.

That price now however is a clear bargain, and at just 21-years-old he has scored 12 Premier League goals in 58 appearances for the Gunners.

He became an instant fan favourite at Arsenal, scoring at the Stamford Bridge after running 75 yards and passing it into the corner.

Ever since then, he has lived up to the hype, and this season has been giving the starting role in the left-wing spot and scored Arsenal’s opening goal of the season at Selhurst Park.

The show also showed us the close relationship between Martinelli and Edu, as they spoke in Edu’s office. about Gabi’s family, and how life was currently going.

Martinelli also sat down for the camera’s one on one, speaking on the challenge of moving into the UK at such a young age.

He told us:

“Yeah, to be fair it was quite tough, because in Brazil I didn’t learn English.

“Also, my family is so important to me, they always give me good advice.”

Martinelli also talked about the money side of football, explaining how his family never really had money, but he doesn’t care about the money.

“When I was young, I didn't have money and they always say 'don't spend a lot of money’

"They are always on my foot. 

"But I don't care about the money. I just want to play football and my parents can take care of the money.”

Martinelli will be hoping his stellar start to his career can carry on at Arsenal and continue to score more goals.

Arsenal face Leicester at the Emirates on Saturday, where Martinelli and co will be fighting for two wins out of two to start the season.
