The racing action continues at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday with the third running of the $7.5 million Golden Eagle.

We've taken a look at the capacity field of 18 and will hopefully steer you into a winner!

1) Private Eye (17) 57.5kg

Trainer: Joseph Pride

Jockey: Nash Rawiller

13 - 8:1:0 $1,446,460

Was a strong winner of the Group 1 Epsom four weeks ago and is building up a very handy strike rate winning eight of 13 starts to date. Drawn a bit sticky in gate 17 but is a drop back-run home type of galloper and should be hitting the line hard in the final stages.

2) I'm Thunderstruck (NZ) (10) 57.5kg

Trainers: Mick Price & Michael Kent (Jnr)

Jockey: Hugh Bowman

8 - 5:0:2 $905,150

One for the AC/DC fans who is a very consistent conveyance only missing a drum once in eight starts. The only knock is that he has never raced the Sydney way of going (clockwise) but gets the services of Winx's pilot Hugh Bowman to get the best out of him. No surprise to see him right in the mix.

3) Aegon (NZ) (20) 57.5kg

Trainers: Murray Baker & Andrew Forsman

Jockey: Jason Collett

9 - 5:0:0 $1,097,216

Hit or miss type of galloper who either wins or doesn't even get close. Is one from one at Rosehill but will need plenty of luck from the carpark draw where he'll have to navigate through the tipsy racegoers and waiting Uber drivers.

4) Apache Chase (6) 57.5kg

Trainer: Desleigh Forster

Jockey: Jim Byrne

16 - 7:1:1 $871,125

Queensland intruder who is fortunate enough to be let across the border. Has won three of his past four starts and has been in red-hot form of late. Looks a key player.

5) Aysar (15) 57.5kg

Trainers: Ben & JD Hayes

Jockey: Jay Ford

13 - 2:4:1 $577,120

Has been thereabouts in recent efforts but strikes a much harder contest here. Looks to be making up the numbers.

6) Aim (14) 57.5kg

Trainers: Peter & Paul Snowden

Jockey: Andrew Adkins

16 - 4:0:1 $1,661,025

Doesn't win out of turn but when he does he makes it count. Won the Magic Millions 3YO race earlier in the year when at long odds and picked up a lazy $1.165 million in the process. Will need luck from the machine but can show up at odds again.

7) Amish Boy (11) 57.5kg

Trainers: Ciaron Maher & David Eustace

Jockey: Kathy O'Hara

19 - 1:5:4 $939,875

Has only won one race from 19 outings but is always seemingly knocking on the barn door. Gets one of two female jockeys in the race on his back in Kathy O'Hara and may run a cheeky race at odds.

8) Exoboom (12) 57.5kg

Trainers: Peter & Paul Snowden

Jockey: Lee Magorrian

12 - 4:4:1 $307,730

Is on the quick back-up after winning at Randwick last Saturday but the Snowdens know what they are doing. It's a race with plenty of chances and he is certainly one of them.

9) Ellsberg (1) 57.5kg

Trainers: Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou

Jockey: Josh Parr

11 - 4:4:2 $429,850

Is a model of consistency only missing a drum once in 11 starts and that was a close-up fourth. Drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and won't have to travel far to get to the races as he is trained on course. Looks a solid each-way hope.

10) Love Tap (3) 57.5kg

Trainers: Richard & Michael Freedman

Jockey: Robbie Dolan

9 - 5:0:0 $262,525

A grey galloper who'll be easy to spot in the run. From a good barn and gets a good barrier, but is he actually good enough himself? We shall have to wait and see.

11) Count De Rupee (4) 57.5kg

Trainers: Robert & Luke Price

Jockey: Brock Ryan

13 - 5:3:3 $374,205

Ridden by the only apprentice in the field, Brock Ryan. Was almost put on his back last time out in the Silver Eagle and still had the audacity to finish third beaten less than a length. Should be right there when the whips are cracking.

12) Laws Of Indices (IRE) (19) 56.5kg

Trainer: Annabel Neasham

Jockey: Tommy Berry

11 - 3:0:1 $543,288

Has plenty of stamps on his passport with his last few runs being in France, England and Ireland. Tricky galloper to line up on form but we know he's in good hands in the Neasham camp and a bold showing wouldn't shock.

13) Maximal (GB) (22) 56.5kg

Trainer: John O'Shea

Jockey: Alysha Collett

8 - 1:5:0 $96,360

Is a three-quarter brother to Frankel who was an absolute superstar. Another tricky one to assess bringing Northern hemisphere form to the table and has been given the visitors draw in gate 22. Would need a bit of luck to salute.

14) Reve De Vol (IRE) (7) 56.5kg

Trainer: Annabel Neasham

Jockey: Brodie Loy

8 - 2:1:1 $87,630

Another Great Britain representative who looks to have better form over further ground. Prefer others in this line-up.

15) Forbidden Love (16) 55.5kg

Trainers: Richard & Michael Freedman

Jockey: Jean Van Overmeire

17 - 5:0:5 $946,450

Another one on the quick back-up having raced last weekend. Hasn't really regained the form she showed earlier in the year when a dominant winner in the Group 1 Surround Stakes.

16) Vangelic (5) 55.5kg

Trainers: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott

Jockey: Tim Clark

16 - 2:3:2 $674,800

Being from the Waterhouse / Bott camp you'd think Clark will try to lead them up from the low draw and try to steal a few soft sectionals in front. The capacity field will probably not let her get away with that but will give a sight.

17) Media Award (9) 55.5kg

Trainer: Chris Calthorpe

Jockey: Jack Martin

7 - 3:1:1 $344,200

Was a winner of the Group 1 Australasian Oaks in Adelaide two starts back at cricket score odds. Wasn't disgraced in last week's Invitation but might find a few of these a bit too sharp.

18) Atishu (NZ) (18) 55.5kg

Trainer: Chris Waller

Jockey: Glyn Schofield

13 - 6:2:2 $251,445

Former Kiwi campaigner who has looked good since joining the Waller stable. Oddly enough, despite being trained at Rosehill she has never raced here. Drawn wide which is not ideal and we've found a few in front of her.
