Batsman Can't Hide His Awkwardness After Hitting A Six Straight Into A Car Window

A camera has captured the moment cricketers realise their ball has caused some costly damage.

Illingworth St Mary's Cricket Club was playing in the Halifax Cricket League over the weekend and it was a glorious day for a bit of batting and bowling.

However, when the ball hurtled towards Asif, he hooked it with a massive smash that wrapped around him to the left hand side.

While most batsmen would be pretty chuffed to hit a six, it wasn't so great when the ball landed.

Cameras managed to get the exact second when everyone realised the cricket ball smashed into the back of someone's car window.

The undeniable smash reverberated across the pitch and batsman Asif and others immediately chucked their arms up in visible awkwardness. You can imagine everyone watching in the crowd would have been hoping and praying it wasn't their vehicle that now has a huge hole in the backseat.

It's since gone viral on Twitter and people can't believe it was all caught on camera.

One person wrote: "Umpire is absolutely loving it."

Another added: "Absolute quality well played boys great game of cricket."

A third said: "I've actually done that in a game. Not only that, it was a mate's car and he gave me a lift to the game. Amazingly, I still got a lift home too but it was a fair bit more breezy on the way home."

While this ball caused some damage, there can be much better moments in the game when a six is hit.

One lucky viewer at Hobart's Bellerive Oval managed to catch a ball in his beer cup while watching the Big Bash League match between the Melbourne Stars and Hurricanes last year.

English batsman Dawid Malan whacked a six in the 16th over and a kid tried his best to grab it.

As the camera zoomed in on the catcher, it was quickly realised that the boy missed his moment, however the ball had landed in the most obscure place.

When the camera eventually zeroed in on the ball's location, a bloke next to the kid raised his beer glass to reveal it had landed straight in his drink.

To celebrate the incredible moment, the man downed the drink and the crowd went wild.
