He's back.

Exactly 271 days after his near-fatal car crash, sporting royalty Tiger Woods is hitting golf balls again.

The legendary golfer has taken to social media to share a video of himself enjoying a casual round - and fans are absolutely loving seeing him back in action.

"Making progress," the clip's caption read.

No surprises here, but the clip itself instantly went viral, racking up almost 5 million views and 200,000 likes on Twitter alone.

Naturally, his followers and fans around the globe wasted no time in sharing it and tagging their mates too.

It has been nearly nine months since the 45-year-old sustained devastating injuries following a car crash in California.

Woods made headlines back in February when he was involved in a scary high-speed incident where he was the sole occupant of the car which ended up rolling off the road.

Thankfully, Woods somehow survived and escaped with a badly hurt right leg believed to be compound fractures, leaving him on crutches until fairly recently.

Now, nine months later, and his road to recovery seems to be going well.
