Colby Covington Reignites Feud With LeBron James By Challenging Him To A Boxing Bout

The trash-talking UFC star has been relatively quiet on social media since Donald Trump's defeat in the presidential election... until now.

If you thought Donald Trump's demoralising defeat in the US presidential election spelled the end for Colby Covington's online rants, then think again.

Unfortunately, the former UFC interim welterweight champ is back on social media after a short layoff.

And while he's shifted his focus from pro-Trump ramble onto other topics, he's still just as vocal as ever.

This time, the devout MAGA super-fan has made headlines for challenging none other than LeBron James to a boxing match.

Covington's call-out comes just days after an action-packed weekend of boxing which saw Mike Tyson make his long-awaited comeback and YouTuber Jake Paul knock out ex-NBA player Nate Robinson.

But rather than commend those involved with making the Legends Only League event a huge success, Covington decided to go to town on the current batch of NBA stars - LeBron James being one of them.

He tweeted: "Heard they finally scraped @nate_robinson's carcass off the @staplescenter floor. I'd make @kingjames eat the canvas in half the amount of time. Everyone knows current @NBA players are the softest and most privileged athletes on the planet. #TysonJones #Facts."

It's not exactly a shock to the system to see Covington slate LeBron to the ground.

In the past, we've heard him go back and fourth with LeBron about everything from the Black Lives Matter movement to the NBA's lower television viewing figures during the Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat.

To put it simply, Covington will trash-talk LeBron whenever the opportunity arrises.

While he's not taking aim at LeBron or other "woke athletes", Covington is pleading with the UFC for a rematch against welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.

The division king, known simply as 'The Nigerian Nightmare', famously shattered Covington's jaw in their title bout back in December of 2019 - thus putting their grudge match to bed.

But after a huge win over welterweight icon Tyron Woodley in September, Covington will claim he's next in line for another shot at the 170-pound belt.

And unfortunately, he's probably right.
