Conor McGregor Breaks Silence For First Time Since Alleged DJ Attack

Conor McGregor has finally broken his silence since he allegedly punched a well-known Italian DJ in the face while on a night out in Rome, breaking his nose in the process.

But if you thought the wild Irishman was going to issue some sort of apology to Francesco Facchinetti, then you'd be wrong.

Instead of addressing the issue less than 48 hours after the alleged attack, the UFC megastar has completely skipped over it, opting to fire shots at an old rival instead.

Ignoring the serious allegations, McGregor weighed in on bizarre news that long-time nemesis Nate Diaz had been advised not to renew his UFC contract by none other than Boris Johnson's former aide Dominic Cummings.

McGregor tweeted: "Advised by who? Does this lanky streak of p**s think he business savvy or something?

"Hey bro, you'd 15 fights in the UFC and were on 20k to fight 20k to win hahahaha 15 f**king fights. In the UFC! Eyelid hanging off your head and handed a 20k check pre tax.

"Know who made you."

With his name in the headlines for all the wrong reasons once again, it does seem like a rather strange thing to say as your first response to everything that's going on.

But then again, this exchange between Cummings and Diaz is also very bizarre to say the least.

People on social media were left scratching their heads when British political advisor Cummings started dishing out tips to one of the UFC's most popular stars.

"Do not sign new UFC contract, you will make more cash outside," he tweeted.

"AND @danawhite will come do a deal at some point for trilogy @TheNotoriousMMA fight, but outside you'll have much more leverage and make more $.

"Look how they screwed @GeorgesStPierre, now waiting for contract to expire."

Fans wasted no time in flocking to the comments section to wade in, one bloke summing up the collective thoughts by saying: "Word of warning Nate. The last people who followed Dom's advice about leaving an organisation are now struggling to get gas and to put food on the table."

It's yet to be seen whether Diaz takes Cummings' advice.

As for McGregor, he could still be in hot water with authorities as Facchinetti has vowed to take legal action against him.
