The UFC's matchmakers have done it again.

The fight card for UFC 273 in Las Vegas has been accidentally leaked and there's some huge names poised to make an appearance.

By the looks of things, Nate Diaz looks set to make his long-awaited return to the octagon against rising star Khamzat Chimaev.

But that's not all, fight fans.

The mouth-watering card appears to be headlined by the middleweight championship bout between Israel Adesanya and Jared Cannonier.

The stacked card also features clashes between Sean Strickland and Alex Pereira, Lauren Murphy and Miesha Tate as well as Pedro Munhoz vs Sean O'Malley.

As it stands, that's just the main card alone, not even including the undercard which is guaranteed to be impressive too.

With no fights officially announced just yet, MMA fans have been waiting patiently to see what the UFC was going to put on offer.

Well, thankfully some eagle-eyed viewers of The Pivot Podcast noticed a small detail during UFC president Dana White's entrance.

For a split second in the YouTube video, you can see a board showcasing the promotion's proposed bouts for the year.

And just under the headline 'Sat, July 2', you can see perhaps one of the best cards of the year.

Granted, the rest of the card is great, but there's one standout match-up which has got UFC diehards very, very excited.

There's no denying that Nate Diaz, despite his lengthy lay-offs, is one of the most popular mixed martial artists on the planet and sports fans have been crying out for him to make a return ever since his last bout against Leon Edwards back in July last year.

Prior to that, his previous fight was against Jorge Masvidal for the BMF title back in 2019.

And, of course, who could forget his two legendary grudge matches against Conor McGregor?

But Diaz isn't getting an easy ride in his return tale as he faces an undefeated fighter in the form of Khamzat Chimaev.

The Swede, having recently defeated Gilbert Burns in one of the fights of the year, has his sights set on a title shot and a big win over Diaz could very well earn him that.
