GRAPHIC WARNING! If you're squeamish, look away now.
Nick Boyle is looking at a lengthy stint on the sidelines after his leg snapped during a coming-together with New England Patriots linebacker Terez Hall.
In the freak incident, the Baltimore Ravens tight end saw his leg hyperextend under the weight of the huge tackle.
And be warned, the footage is not for the faint-hearted.
Nick Boyle, who suffered a pretty gruesome knee hyperextension, gets carted off the field while barely wincing. or maybe he's annoyed by the rain? it's impossible to know, because that dude is tough as hell pic.twitter.com/yq3PGNcHVf

With his team down 23-10 in the third quarter against the Patriots, Boyle received a pass from Ravens' star quarterback Lamar Jackson on first down.
Catching the ball with his back to the defence, the 6-foot-3-inch 122kg man mountain looked as if he'd made his team a valuable four yards.
But upon finding his footing and regathering his balance, Boyle was immediately hit with a bone-crunching tackle from Hall.

The challenge put Boyle's leg in a rather unnatural position as it appeared to snap under his body.
Clearly seeing what had just unfolded, New England defensive tackle Lawrence Guy rushed to the scene and waved over to the sideline to get the medics' attention.
Boyle was carted from the field in a buggy with Ravens head coach John Harbaugh later confirming that the big tight end's season was likely finished.

While Boyle was being attended to by staff, the television cameras panned out to show the reactions of the Baltimore players who looked gutted for their injured teammate.
And while the true extent of the gruesome injury is still unknown, Boyle will certainly be missed having racked up two touchdowns from his 113 yards this season.
