Odell Beckham Jnr Can't Catch COVID-19 Because He And The Virus Have A 'Mutual Respect'

Odell Beckham Junior says there's no chance he could contract COVID-19.

Why? Well because apparently there's a mutual respect between the NFL megastar and the virus.

OBJ is one of the most well known faces in the NFL.

So when the Cleveland Browns wide receiver was forced to miss two days of practice after suffering from flu-like symptoms, everyone expected the worst.

The coronavirus pandemic has continued to plague live sports events around the globe and with the revamped NFL season only just kicking off, competition officials are keeping a close eye on the teams to ensure everyone is COVID-free.

OBJ was sensible, though.

He notified the team of his symptoms, stayed at home and took a test.

Thankfully, the results came back negative and the explosive star was eligible to play in the Browns' 38-7 loss at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6.

When news broke of his illness, the 27-year-old remained relatively quiet - until now.

"Not in an arrogant way, I just don't think COVID can get to me," OBJ said ahead of Cleveland's Week 7 local derby against the Cincinnati Bengals.

"I don't think it's going to get into this body. I don't want no parts of it, it don't want no parts of me. It's a mutual respect.

"So I wasn't really worried about the test, it was just more in my mind for me and my maturity level I felt like it was the right thing to do to mention I may not have been feeling well.

"I just wouldn't want it to spread throughout the whole building, if there was a case that I would have possibly had it. I was just trying to be an adult and be precautious about the situation and try and handle it the right way."
