Tom Brady Touches Down In Hollywood

It hasn't taken NFL legend Tom Brady long to find his next career path post retirement.

Brady, who many consider as the best quarterback in NFL history, will play himself in 80 for Brady, a football-themed road trip movie that is set to begin production later this year.

The 44-year-old will also produce the film under his production company, 199 Productions, which will star Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field as four women who travel to see Brady play in Super Bowl LI which fans will remember as the game in which Brady led a massive comeback to beat the Atlanta Falcons and secure the Patriots' fifth title.

The film will be directed by relative unknown Kyle Marvin with Brady to no doubt have a hands-on producing role given the story is based around real-life events.

The only quarterback to be named in two all-decade teams (2000s and 2010s), Brady called time on his career following 22 seasons in the NFL, playing his first 20 seasons at the New England Patriots before spending his final two seasons as part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

During his long run with the Patriots, Brady led them to 17 division titles, 13 AFC Championship games and nine Super Bowl appearances for six Super Bowl wins before joining the Buccaneers in 2020 and leading them to win Super Bowl LV in his first season in Tampa.

Brady entered the 2021-22 season under an injury cloud but somehow still managed to lead the Buccaneers all the way to the Divisional Round, where they would face eventual Super Bowl champions the Los Angeles Rams. Despite the loss, Brady left fans with one final reminder of his undeniable talent, leading the Buccaneers to 24 unanswered points to tie the game in the closing seconds after being 27-3 down in the third quarter before the Rams would score a field goal in the dying seconds to win 30-27.

Brady would finish his final NFL game with 329 yards thrown, a touchdown and an interception while also leaving the Buccaneers in a much better place than when he arrived.

And while we may have seen the last of Brady on an NFL field, his shift into Hollywood means he won't quietly go into retirement.
