Kevin Owens, like the rest of us, is so pumped to see 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin make his long-awaited comeback at WrestleMania.

Almost two decades after officially retiring, Stone Cold's biblical second coming will finally take place this weekend in the WWE's biggest event of the year.

But while most of us will be setting our alarms and waking up early to catch the ultimate return tale, other lucky sods will have a better view of the action.

Fan favourite superstar Owens will be sharing a ring with the legendary Hall of Famer when he invites Stone Cold onto his KO Show.

The show itself is popular enough, but Owens realises that it's getting particular attention this weekend thanks to a beer-chugging, sweet-talking, goatee-donning icon.

"You know what's most crazy about it? Well, technically it's not really a match so anything - literally anything - can happen," Owens told SPORTbible Australia in Dallas ahead of WrestleMania.

"He's coming on the KO Show and the KO Show can become a lot of things. So the amount of excitement people are getting from it, I feel might have a lot to do with a certain Stone Cold Steve Austin being the guest. Who knows?

"But yes, it's nice to see so many people looking forward to it."

He may be humble, but Owens has earned his right to share the ring with wrestling royalty.

Since his early days in NXT, the 37-year-old has gone on to win the Universal Championship once, the Intercontinental Championship twice, and the United States Championship on three occasions.

But even he admits he'll be in awe standing across the ring from a man he has looked up to for a long, long time.

"The whole thing is just so surreal," Owens added.

"Stone Cold has been my favourite wrestler since he showed up at WWF as Ring Master, so to be sharing a ring with him is amazing.

"As a fan, even if I wasn't in the ring with him, I'd still be so pumped because this is history right here. I mean, this is essentially Stone Cold finally getting the send off he feels he should have got 19 years ago.

"What form this will all take, who knows? Even just saying 'Stone Cold is going to be on WrestleMania' feels like we're back in the old days and I love it."
