KSI Gives Backing To YouTube Rival Logan Paul Ahead Of Big-Money Fight With Floyd Mayweather

KSI and Paul have shared a ring on two separate occasions with 'JJ' claiming a narrow decision victory over his social media rival in 2019.

Now it looks like he'll be an interested spectator when Paul goes toe-to-toe with 50-0 boxing great Mayweather in a special exhibition bout next month.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "Fair Play @LoganPaul followed by two clapping emojis.

Paul responded with: "If I win that makes you the best fighter on the planet."

Mayweather sent the boxing world into overdrive when he announced the special bout on Instagram on Sunday night.

While KSI is excited, UFC president Dana White is not so enamoured.

"When people ask me what's the state of boxing right now, that's where it's at," he said.

Mayweather, 43, has not fought since 2018 when he dismantled Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nakusawa in just 140 seconds. Prior to that, he stopped former UFC champion Conor McGregor in the 10th round of their 2017 fight.

The fight is expected to shatter pay-per-view records and Paul is confident of beating the odds to claim an unlikely victory.

"I'm always searching for the ultimate challenge and it's a dream to go toe-to-toe with the greatest boxer alive," said 25-year-old Paul.

"I am ALL IN, and on February 20th, the world could witness the greatest upset in the history of sports."

Mayweather, 43, added: "This is going to be a great night for the fans worldwide. I've never shied away from doing things differently throughout my career and fighting Logan Paul in this special exhibition is just another opportunity for me to do it again."

The venue for the bout is still to be named.
