Dillon Danis And Tommy Fury Both Call Out Jake Paul After KO Of Ben Askren

Jake Paul has been called out by Dillon Danis in a foul-mouthed attack on Twitter after his first-round knockout of Ben Askren.

The YouTuber stopped the former UFC fighter with a punishing right hand in their boxing bout and Danis - a training partner of Conor McGregor with a 2-0 MMA record - claims wants to restore the honour of mixed martial arts.

"It's on 100%," he tweeted post-fight, "send me the contract let's do this, I'm gonna put this c**t out cold."

Danis, who has previous with Jake Paul, added: "Let me save the MMA community."

Another fighter keen to face 'The Problem Child' in the ring is Tyson Fury's younger brother, Tommy Fury.

The light-heavyweight, who boasts a 5-0 record in the pro boxing ring, said he is "ready to give the people what they want" as he tagged Paul in a post-fight challenge.

Jake Paul has gone back and forth with both men in the past and claimed in December 2020 that he'd offered Danis $500,000 to fight him. Clearly the 27-year-old American now wants to rumble and it could make sense, as Paul's overall goal seems to be a fight with Danis's teammate McGregor.

Tommy Fury and Paul talked smack in videos to one another in March, after being egged on by heavyweight champion Tyson. So the Love Island star could be another legitimate opponent for Paul.

As an actual professional boxer (albeit one yet to face a real challenge in the ring), Tommy Fury would probably be a step up from Paul's competition so far.

The 24-year-old's KO of Askren in Atlanta took his pro boxing record to 3-0 (all by stoppage). However his opponents so far have been a fellow YouTuber, a retired NBA player and now a former MMA fighter.

So an active boxer (in Fury) or an MMA fighter under the age of 30 (in Danis) could arguably be a step up for Paul, if he chooses to go down that route.

After stopping 'Funky' in under two minutes, the only thing we can be sure of is that Jake Paul will almost certainly be back in a boxing ring later this year.
