Francis Ngannou has brilliant response after hearing Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk postponement

Ngannou has had his say.

Francis Ngannou gave a brilliant response after learning that the unification fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury has been postponed.

The proposed date of February 17 for the bout has been cancelled following a 'freak cut' suffered by Fury in training.

Queensberry Promotions confirmed that Fury required 'urgent medical attention and significant stitching' for the cut, which occurred two weeks out from the much-anticipated fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Boxing News report that a possible replacement fight between Usyk and IBF mandatory Filip Hrgovic is 'being explored' for February 17.

The Ukrainian has held the unified heavyweight titles since 2021 after beating Anthony Joshua, successfully defending them on two occasions.

Joshua is scheduled to fight Ngannou on March 8 in Riyadh, just over four months on from the former UFC star very much taking Fury to the limit in his debut boxing bout.

Fury won the fight via split decision, although there were many fans that believed Ngannou did enough to win the fight himself.

Making light of that fact, Ngannou reacted to the Usyk vs Fury postponement with a brilliant question on X (Twitter).

Alongside the image of a popular social media meme with his head super-imposed on it, Ngannou wrote: "So me and Joshua for the undisputed title March 8?"

The Cameroonian-French fighter recently made an appearance on the High Performance Podcast, in which he sent a chilling warning to Joshua ahead of their highly-anticipated fight.

He said: "Never say never. Nothing is impossible. We don't know the strength of Anthony Joshua.

"Even though I don't believe he has that strength, we're going to find out. In two months, we're going to find out. I'm going to be the one taking his soul."

Ngannou will be one of many fighters keeping a very close eye on Usyk and Fury's next steps, you suspect.
