KSI vs Tommy Fury sees major rule change just weeks ahead of fight

KSI vs Tommy Fury sees major rule change just weeks ahead of fight

KSI and Tommy Fury meet on October 14.

A major rule change has been implemented to KSI vs Tommy Fury just weeks ahead of their high-profile clash next month.

Fury, who defeated Jake Paul in his last outing, returns to action when he takes on KSI on a stacked card in Manchester on October 14.

The blockbuster bill also sees Logan Paul meet Dillon Danis in the co-main event.

Paul vs Danis is a six-round exhibition while KSI vs Fury appears to be a professional bout after originally being advertised as an exhibition.

That's according to BoxRec which has listed Fury's fight against KSI as a professional contest.

That means KSI will be involved in his second professional fight, having made his pro debut against Logan in November 2019.

His subsequent fights against Swarmz, Luis Alcaraz Pineda, FaZe Temperrr and Joe Fournier have all been exhibition matches.

Fury has won nine fights in the professional ranks since making his pro debut in December 2018.

KSI took to social media to react to the bout being listed as a professional fight.

'Big' John Fury, however, views Fury vs KSI as an 'old-fashioned punch up' as he said his son will make the YouTuber 'urinate himself'.

He told Boxing Social courtesy of Freebets.com: "We are training for an old-fashioned punch up. There are no rules, it will not be a boxing fight. It will be a punch-up until one submits.

"In a Misfits fight anything can happen, Tommy will grab hold of him [KSI] and punch him until he urinates himself."

John added: "It is our duty to entertain. You can only entertain with blood and snot coming out of each man.

"This is a street fight with gloves on. We are not going to show nice boxing skills, we will go to club him into submission.

"Tommy is a strong man. It is about who wants it the most."
