Explained: Why the Sidemen won't be sat ringside for KSI vs Tommy Fury

Explained: Why the Sidemen won't be sat ringside for KSI vs Tommy Fury

The popular online group are all often visibly in attendance.

KSI will have to find an extra gear as he prepares to take on Tommy Fury this weekend.

The 30-year-old is set to undertake his biggest test yet inside the boxing ring, as he puts his undefeated record on the line against Manchester's very own.

But in another blow for the YouTuber-turned-boxer, it turns out his friends 'The Sidemen' will not be sat ringside as usually anticipated.

In another perhaps psychological blow for the London-born influencer, his friends couldn't all get tickets together and have instead opted for another way to watch the bout live.

With thousands expected in attendance at the AO Arena in Manchester, millions are also expecting to tune in either online or via DAZN's PPV service.

In a September 22 SideCast episode, childhood friend Miniminter revealed how they plan to watch the event.

“We’re in a box,'' Simon began.

Zerkaa added: “We’re not allowed our seats by the ringside, unfortunately. We’ve been demoted as KSI’s friends.

"We asked, they said no," Miniminter went on to clarify. “Not JJ [KSI], just to clear that up. Not JJ.”

Behzinga then said: “Yeah, they would rather sell the seats than let us have them.”

With plenty of celebrities expected to be in attendance this weekend, chances are the cameras will still catch his friends from the stands.

But with tickets said to have been in their thousands, and the sheer entourage of partners and additional friends, Simon later cleared it would be better to all be together in a box.

It also remains to be seen whether members of Fury's family will be ringside on the night, with it yet to be confirmed whether brother Tyson and his wife Paris will be along to support.

Long-term partner Molly has also failed to hint if she will be in attendance, after giving birth to their first child Bambi earlier this year.
