Mike Tyson makes his feelings clear after major change made to Jake Paul event

Tyson will face Paul on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Mike Tyson has reacted after a major announcement was made in relation to his upcoming fight with Jake Paul.

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Tyson will return to the ring to face Paul on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in what will be the main event of a card that will air on Netflix.

The fight is expected to be an exhibition, although YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul confirmed earlier this month that he still has hopes of getting the bout sanctioned as fully professional.

Tyson, 57, has not fought since drawing with Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition match in 2020.

Meanwhile, his last professional bout came back in 2005 against Kevin McBride and his decision to return to the ring against a 27-year-old opponent has divided opinion, with some in the boxing world concerned for Tyson's safety.

He has responded to those concerns by posting numerous updates on social media attempting to prove his fitness levels.

On Tuesday, the first undercard fight for the event was announced by Paul. Check out the announcement below.

Paul announced that Amanda Serrano, managed by his promotional company Most Valuable Promotions, will face Katie Taylor in a rematch of their 2022 fight, which ended in a split decision win for the Irishwoman.

The rematch will be contested for the undisputed super lightweight championship, with Taylor putting all of her super lightweight belts on the line.

"This is the rematch the world has wanted to see and I'm delighted that it's finally happening," Taylor said.

"The first fight in New York was obviously an epic occasion and it more than lived up to the billing, and I'm sure the rematch will be no different."

Serrano added: "I promised my fans they would see this rematch after we made history at MSG and it feels like a dream come true to know that Katie and I are finally making it happen on the biggest stage possible to show the world what elite women's boxing is all about."

Tyson has since praised the fight, believing it will bring a bigger audience to his clash with Paul.

"Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano are two of the best boxers in the world," said Tyson.

"I know they can both put on an incredible show, and I'm thrilled to have them join this card. These remarkable athletes will undoubtedly elevate the event with their global appeal and fan bases.

"Adding one of the greatest fights in women's boxing history to this unforgettable event is a true gift to fans. Saturday, July 20 can't get here soon enough."
