Tyron Woodley appears to have gotten the all-important tattoo that will land him a rematch with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

The former UFC world champion lost the first bout with Paul last month, with the decision going to the scorecards. Paul prevailed, despite the former vlogger being rocked for the first time in his professional boxer career.

In the immediate aftermath, Woodley called for a rematch, much to the annoyance of his rival.

Paul then proceeded to offer the 39-year-old a deal: get a tattoo with the words 'I Love Jake Paul" and I'll give you your rematch.

That was the end of that...or so we thought.

Remarkably, it now appears that Woodley has kept his end of the bargain by getting those exactt words inked on his finger - or so it appears.

There's every chance it's a masterful hoax, but either way, it's already making waves on social media.

Check out Woodley's Instagram post below.

Unsurprisingly, Paul was quick to respond to this call out.

In a subsequent Instagram story, the 24-year-old didn't appear to deny the legitimacy of the tattoo, instead claiming that the MMA star was simply trying to get the rematch because "his accountant told him how much he had to pay in taxes."

Whatever the reason, we may now be looking at a rerun of August's fight, which could deliver a very different result - if Woodley can be more aggressive from the outset.

This development certainly deals a blow to Tommy Fury's hopes of fighting Paul anytime soon, however.

The Love Island finalist with a professional boxing record of 7-0 was expected to be the controversial star's next opponent, after featuring on the Triller undercard last month.

If the rematch with Woodley does go ahead, any future bout between the pair likely wouldn't happen until next year, by which point Fury may want to push ahead with his own boxing career.

What happens from here is anyone's guess, but if Paul and Woodley are men of their word, we should be looking at an intriguing rematch sometime in the not too distant future.
