Conor McGregor & Jake Paul Involved In Toxic Overnight Twitter Brawl And It Got Messy

Conor McGregor & Jake Paul Involved In Toxic Overnight Twitter Brawl And It Got Messy

Paul has attempted to get under McGregor's skin for years, but the roles reversed on Saturday night.

Conor McGregor hit out at Jake Paul's outfit after seeing him appear on DAZN's Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano show.

Paul took his seat ringside for Saturday's main event after co-promoting the bout with Eddie Hearn.

McGregor was watching along at home to support fellow Irish fighter Taylor and for the first time, went after Paul without being provoked.

'The Notorious' tweeted: "Who the f**k is this jackass in the pink Jimmy Saville glasses?" in reference to the YouTuber's attire.

Saville was a UK television presenter who died in 2011. Following his death, allegations of sexual abuse emerged and it was concluded he'd been a sexual predator throughout his career.

Paul started taunting the UFC star in 2020 with a number of callout videos which even took aim at his fiancee, Dee Devlin.

He immediately fired back: "I'm the one who has done more for fighters than you ever have.

"The one who has won 5 fights in the past 2 years while you have lost 5. The one who isn’t owned by Dana White. The one who made the fight you just watched happen. The 1 who got your hero Katie Taylor paid. That’s who."

McGregor then responded with a picture of Saville.

In the ring, Taylor retained her WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO and The Ring lightweight titles via split decision in an instant classic.

Taylor and Serrano are the first two women to headline Madison Square Garden and they didn't disappoint.

Nine-time world champion Serrano controlled the middle rounds and Taylor looked rattled.

She managed to hold on however and two judges scored the contest 97-93 and 96-93 in her favour.

The third gave it to Serrano 96-94.

Post-fight Hearn said he'd love to give Taylor a homecoming fight in Ireland as a reward for her performance.

Paul then took to Instagram and said Serrano is already training for a potential rematch. Could the two ladies run it back? It'd certainly be interesting.
