A Furious Dillian Whyte Wants Rematch With Tyson Fury Because Of 'Illegal Push' Immediately After KO

A Furious Dillian Whyte Wants Rematch With Tyson Fury Because Of 'Illegal Push' Immediately After KO

Whyte spoke his mind in his first interview since the loss.

Dillian Whyte believes he deserved more time to recover after receiving an 'illegal' push from Tyson Fury seconds before his defeat on Saturday evening.

Fury successfully defended his WBC heavyweight title inside Wembley Stadium after hitting Whyte with a sickening uppercut in the sixth round.

Whyte claims 'The Gypsy King' pushing him away immediately after landing the blow made his head hit the canvas hard, making it harder to regain his composure.

He told Sky Sports: "I was buzzed but obviously I was trying to regather my senses and he proper pushed me and I fell over and hit my head on the canvas which is illegal.

"This isn't wrestling, this is boxing. I should have been allowed extra time to recover and then carried on fighting."

'The Body Snatcher' got back to his feet but he quickly collapsed into the ropes, which saw referee Mark Lyson give the win to Fury.

He went on to have a dig at Fury, claiming he 'gets away' with a lot inside the ring.

Whyte continued: "I got caught, no doubt about it. I got caught by a good shot. I went for the left uppercut, he went for the right uppercut. He's a bit taller than me, so obviously he landed his at range. I was hurt, I was trying to get my senses together and he full on, two-handed pushed me. It wasn't like a one-armed thing.

"Terrible job from the referee there, but it is, what it is.

"I should have had time to recover, time to go back to my corner, but Tyson Fury gets away with a lot of things."

Fury announced his retirement from boxing post-fight and claimed he wouldn't be brought back into the sport for money.

His wife, Paris, believes unifying the division is the one fight he'd return for.

Whyte is hoping the unbeaten Fury has one more left in him after that.

The 34-year-old declared: "He said he would retire. I hope he doesn't retire, because I want another go.

"He said you're a good fighter, a true warrior, you're going to be a world champion. I'm not a sore loser. You win some, you lose some, this is life."
