Eddie Hearn's 2022 Boxing Wishlist Includes Monster Jake Paul Fight And Bizarre Deontay Wilder Bout

Eddie Hearn's 2022 Boxing Wishlist Includes Monster Jake Paul Fight And Bizarre Deontay Wilder Bout

Eddie Hearn names the fights he wants to see next year.

Eddie Hearn has revealed his ambitious boxing wish-list for 2022 and it includes a monster Jake Paul fight - and a somewhat bizarre Deontay Wilder bout.

2021 is coming to an end, with potential super-fights on deck next year involving some of the biggest names in boxing.

From George Kambosos Jr., who upset Teofimo Lopez to become the unified lightweight world champion, to Canelo Alvarez.

Not to mention 'The Problem Child' who went 3-0 this year, beating Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley twice.

And if Matchroom promoter Hearn has his way, then he'd match the YouTuber-turned-boxer against UFC superstar Conor McGregor in one of his dream fights for 2022.

A showdown between Paul and McGregor has been mooted, with the brash American relentlessly calling him out on social media.

Speaking on the DAZN Boxing Show, Hearn said: "For Jake Paul personally, the fight to make is Conor McGregor,.

"This is a mega-fight and a really good fight as well, got to get the catchweight right in the middle, although Conor McGregor looks huge at the moment.

"Conor McGregor; legend, Jake Paul; content legend - but a lot of fun putting the work in

"I want to see Jake Paul against Conor McGregor, let's get it made - I can't say it's the top of my list of Christmas cheer here on DAZN, but a little bit of fun for the festive season."

Hearn's 2022 boxing wish-list also includes former heavyweight world champion Wilder against Dereck Chisora.

He said: "Deontay Wilder, we want to see you back in the ring. I've got the perfect guy for you - Dereck Chisora.

"Come on, he's getting on a little bit, he's coming off three defeats on the spin now. Easy comeback fight for Deontay Wilder. Dereck's ready."

However, his proposed clash for the veteran heavyweight got shutdown by the fighter's trainer, Dave Coldwell.

He tweeted: "Christmas is over. Eddie needs to put the sherry away for another year."

Hearn also wants to see Kambosos Jr. vs. Devin Haney, Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence and Conor Benn vs. Adrien Broner, among others.
