Floyd Mayweather's Next Fight Will Have Just 20 Fans Present, Tickets Will Cost £150,000

Floyd Mayweather's Next Fight Will Have Just 20 Fans Present, Tickets Will Cost £150,000

Floyd Mayweather will take on Don Moore in Dubai on a helipad.

Just 20 fans will be in attendance for Floyd Mayweather's next fight, where 'Money' will be squaring off against Don Moore, a fellow undefeated fighter.

May 14 will see Mayweather return to the ring as part of an event being branded 'The Global Titan Fight Series'.

Incredibly, the card will take place on a helipad on top of the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai and 700 feet above sea level.

And there will barely be anyone present. According to Mayweather, tickets for his next exhibition bout will only be available as NFT's (non-fungible tokens) - digital assets available for purchase that cannot be copied or replicated.

The Sun say that half of the tickets have been sold already for 65 Ethereum - which is around £150,000 per ticket when converted from the Bitcoin currency.

With the tickets so pricey, there is a guaranteed revenue of £3 million for the event - which will also be shown live on pay-per-view on LIVENow for £14.99.

Mayweather retired from boxing with a perfect 50-0 record and has since made big money from two exhibition fights.

Aged 43, he made easy work of Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in Tokyo as part of the Rizin 14 card at the Saitama Super Arena and made a reported $9 million for three minutes inside the ring.

Then, in June, the five-weight world champion took on YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul in Miami, with the event reportedly selling one million pay-per-view buys and earning Mayweather a massive $65 million cheque.

The fifteen-time world champion has received criticism for his recent boxing exploits but defended his career choices.

"I was able to leave boxing on my own terms and now the boxing critics are upset that I am still able to milk and finesse the sport of boxing by throwing exhibitions," Mayweather told Fight Hype, as per The Mirror.

"Sixteen minutes and I am able to get eight and nine figures from the fruits of my labour. Once again I am not hurting for my money, I am far from hurting for money. I didn't retire from getting money.

The slugfest with Moore, a former sparring partner who last fought in 2016, will be another eight rounder.

Elsewhere on the card, UFC Hall of Famer Anderson Silva looks to continue his impressive boxing career with a fight against compatriot Bruno Machado, while two-weight world champion Badou Jack will also be competing.
