Jake Paul apologises to Drake after rapper lost $400,000 betting on him to KO Tommy Fury

Jake Paul apologises to Drake after rapper lost $400,000 betting on him to KO Tommy Fury

The YouTuber-turned-boxer giggled about it before saying 'sorry' to the rapper.

Jake Paul has apologised to Drake after the rapper lost a huge sum of money betting on his fight with Tommy Fury.

Drake slapped $400,000 on Paul to knock out Fury in their grudge match, a wager which would have seen him earn upwards of $1.4million if successful.

But, as we all now know, Fury was the one who got his hand raised.

Reacting to the news that Drake had flushed $400k down the drain betting on him, Paul giggled it off before saying 'sorry' to the music megastar.

When asked if he was impacted by the infamous 'Drake curse', Paul joked: "F**k this is Drakes fault.

"Drake, why'd you do this to me?"

He then added: "Nah nah, it's my fault. $400,000 is nothing to him, so.

"He's won a lot more money betting on me before so he's probably about even now.

"Sorry Drake, I'm going to get that W in the rematch."

Paul put up a good fight, even dropping his rival a couple of times.

But it wasn't quite enough as Fury got the nod on the judges scorecards – not that the ex-Disney child actor necessarily agreed.

“I’ll come back. I think we deserve that rematch. It was a great fight, a close fight," Paul said during his in-ring interview.

“I don’t know if I agree with the judges. I got a 10-8 round twice, so it is what it is. This is boxing.

“Look, I’ve already won in life man, I’ve already won in every single way. I have an amazing family, amazing friends, amazing work ethic and I’ve made further than I ever thought that I would and beyond.

“This is definitely a humbling experience. I’ll take it on the chin, get back in the gym and we can run it back because I think we put on an amazing show for the fans tonight.”

As for Drake, we can't imagine a slight dent in his pocket will deter him from punting on sport again.

The Canadian rapper has a habit of betting huge sums of cash on his favourite sports teams and athletes.

He has even been accused of 'cursing' the bookies' favourites by betting on them – before they eventually go on to lose.

However, the 'Drake Curse' was recently debunked after his bet on Argentina to win the World Cup came to fruition.

This time, though, it wasn't to be.
