Jake Paul Bought Tyron Woodley A £9,000 Rolex To Make A Joke After Giving It To Him

Jake Paul Bought Tyron Woodley A £9,000 Rolex To Make A Joke After Giving It To Him

"And you're giving this to him why?"

Jake Paul gave opponent Tyron Woodley a £9,000 Rolex in a bid to make a very specific joke, just days before knocking out the former UFC fighter in their highly-anticipated rematch.

You can see that moment below.

Three months after Paul picked up a victory against Woodley via split decision in their cruiserweight bout, the pair faced each other again on Saturday night at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

YouTube personality Paul once again recorded a win, this time sending former UFC champion Woodley to the canvas with a huge right hand in the sixth round - improving his professional record to 5-0-0.

Just hours after the event, Paul took to Twitter. "I've KO'ed everyone I've fought," he wrote.

In the days leading up to the fight, Paul was in confident mood.

In fact, when the pair went face to face in an interview with host Ariel Helwani, the 24-year-old pulled out a gift for his opponent to show his appreciation 'for taking the fight on late notice'.

As you can see in the SHOWTIME Sports footage above, Paul tells Woodley he should open it for the cameras, adding: "It's a good gift."

Woodley did just that and to his surprise, there was a £9,000 Rolex watch inside.

Helwani then asks why he is giving the watch to Woodley. Jake responds, saying: "It's time for me to knock him out."

Woodley accepts the gift before adding: "And all the bonuses, I accept it all. And I'm going to do the same thing on Saturday... this dude is crazy."

When he was asked why he's accepting it, Woodley said: "Why wouldn't I accept it? He put a bow on it and wrapped it, I ain't gonna be disrespectful."

Clearly there is a mutual respect between the pair and after the bout on Saturday night, Jake praised his opponent, again referencing his decision to take the bout, just days after Tommy Fury pulled out.

"This guy [Woodley] is a legend and respect to him for taking the fight with two weeks' notice," he said. "It was a tough fight. I had blood in my eyes. I had the job done.

"I was setting the punch up the whole fight. He didn't see it coming. Like a lumberjack, timber. It's got to be the moment of my life."
