Only Two Boxers Earned More Money Than Jake Paul In The Last 12 Months

Jake Paul has been named the third highest-earning boxer between 2021 and 2022 by a new study.

'The Problem Child' fought three times in 2021, beating Ben Askren in April before earning two victories over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in August and December respectively.

He's since turned his hand to promoting with Most Valuable Promotions and they helped put on Amanda Serrano vs Katie Taylor last month.

Sportico released a list of the 100 highest-earning athletes across the world earlier this week and overall, Paul comes in at 45th with $36 million in earnings.

The 25-year-old is close to the top of the pile when it comes to boxing however with only Canelo Alvarez and Tyson Fury ahead of him.

Canelo is regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world and he netted a whopping $89 million across four fights.

He defeated Avni Yıldırım, Billy Joe Saunders and Caleb Plant in 2021 before suffering the second defeat of his career to Dmitry Bivol last weekend.

The Mexican moved up a weight class to face Bivol and was trolled by Paul for his performance immediately after the final bell.

Fury, meanwhile, remains undefeated after completing his trilogy with Deontay Wilder and running out comfortable victor over Dillian Whyte in April.

'The Gypsy King' pocketed a cool $69 million after a long spell of inactivity and he now claims to have retired from the sport.

He's also floating the idea of facing UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in a hybrid fight.

Fury's wife, Paris, believes he'll return to the ring for a chance to unify the division against Oleksandr Usyk.

Paul has confirmed he'll be returning to the ring in August and a potential foe is Fury's younger brother, Tommy.

The duo were set to square off in December before Fury had to pull out with a bacterial chest infection and rib injury.

He still wants a shot at the YouTuber and things got incredibly personal in the build-up last time round.

Keemstar thinks a deal for Paul to fight Fury has already been agreed.

The Drama Alert host said:​ "What I'm hearing from my sources that Jake Paul is going to be in fact facing Tommy Fury.

"It looks like Jake is going to give him another chance."
