Jake Paul LEADS ESPN's Knockout Of The Year Award Ahead Of Tyson Fury, Logan Paul Ends 'Debate' With His Response

YouTube superstar Logan Paul believes that it is 'not up for debate' that Jake Paul should take home ESPN's Knockout of the Year award.

Jake Paul has established a huge lead over WBC champion Tyson Fury in ESPN Ringside’s readers’ poll for the 2021 Knockout of the Year award.

The 24-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer overcame a horrific cut on his forehead to stop rival Tyron Woodley in brutal fashion earlier this month.

Paul, who was initially slated to fight Tommy Fury, connected with a brutal right hand on Woodley in the sixth round to score a sensational KO victory on the night.

The Problem Child extended his unbeaten boxing record to 5-0 after his hard-fought win at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

Paul’s stunning knockout over Woodley earned him a place in ESPN’s Twitter poll for Knockout of the Year.

Fury’s destructive 11th-round KO win over Deontay Wilder in their trilogy fight was also nominated alongside Oscar Valdez’s KO of Miguel Berchelt back in February.

And Gabriel Rosado’s third-round knockout win over Bektemir Melikuziev secured the fourth and final spot in the readers’ poll.

Paul took to Twitter and rallied on his followers to vote for him in the ESPN Ringside Awards category.

The American social media star is in a commanding lead with the lion’s share of the vote, with Paul currently on 58.8 per cent of the vote.

Fury significantly trails Paul in the Twitter poll, with his knockout over fierce rival Wilder earning him 34.5 per cent of the vote.

Valdez and Rosado came a distant third and fourth respectively with 5.3 per cent and 1.5 per cent of the votes.

The ESPN Ringside poll has attracted over 50,000 votes (51,970, to be exact) at the time of writing, with eight hours remaining until the poll is closed.

Logan Paul took to Twitter and claimed that it is ‘not up for debate’ that his younger brother should win the award, despite suggesting that he might be “biased.”

“Perhaps I’m biased, but a YouTuber knocked out a 5-time UFC champion in the cleanest way possible, I’m not sure this is up for debate,” he tweeted.

The Problem Child has since revealed that he has five names on his ‘boxing bucket list,’ including boxing legend Mike Tyson and UFC president Dana White.
