When Could Jake Paul Vs Tommy Fury Take Place?

When Could Jake Paul Vs Tommy Fury Take Place?

What you need to know about Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury.

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury have traded words constantly over the past six months, and it now appears that a fight between the pair is edging closer.

The Disney star turned YouTuber is now 4-0 in the professional game, with three knockouts. The one fight he did not quite manage a KO was against his last opponent, MMA fighter Tyron Woodley. Paul had just one amateur bout, against KSI's younger brother Deji, stopping him inside six rounds.

Fury, on the other hand, had 12 amateur fights which includes winning the north regional divisions twice. He is now 7-0 as a professional.

Having built the fight up well between themselves, could it be about to happen next? Here's what we know so far.

Is Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury on and when could it take place?

As it stands, the fight has not been officially confirmed. A report in The Sun has claimed that the fight is set to take place on 18th December in Miami, Florida. What better Christmas present?

Is there a bet this time around?

Yes! There is. A funny one at that.

If Jake Paul wins, Tommy Fury must legally change his name to 'Tommy Fumbles' for one year, while if Paul loses, he will add an extra $500,000 to his fight purse.

Fans, or just people who keep up with the news around Jake Paul, will know he and Woodley agreed to a bet to tattoo the other person's name on them if they lose. Woodley was good on his word and got 'I love Jake Paul' on his finger, yes really.

What has been said so far?

Tommy Fury: “I’m ready, like I’ve said all along.

“This fight, anybody who knows me and has seen me train in the gym and has seen my performances in other fights knows that I’m way too much for Jake Paul and knows this is a mismatch. So whether he really wants that fight, I don’t know. I know he’s offered some money about it. I know he’s done this and done that, but the offers that he was putting in were terrible.

“I know I can squash Jake Paul all over that ring, because what is he? He’s a YouTuber and he’s gotten into boxing, he’s a man with a pair of boxing gloves. He ain’t got no talent. What has he got? We saw that in the Tyron Woodley fight. He was doing eight rounds, Woodley never threw a punch and [Paul] got gassed out and he was looking at the clock every round, so what’s he going to do with me who’s going to be pressing him every second of every single minute in that fight? He’s going to crumble and that’ll be the end of him.”

Jake Paul: "The Bet: Since Tyson Fury says if Tommy loses to me he will make him change his last name..

"So then @tommytntfury if you beat me I will pay you an extra $500k.

"However, if I beat you then you have to change your name to Tommy Fumbles for 1 year."

John Fury: “Tyson said if Jake Paul beats him, he’s got to change his name because of some stupid stuff – which he should do! If he can’t beat Jake Paul I’ll smash him to bits with a bamboo stick myself.

“Tyson, his brother, said ‘right, we’ll kick the s*** out of you as well!’. So, no pressure,” John said.
