Mike Tyson sent a terrifying message to trolls abusing him on social media

Mike Tyson sent a terrifying message to trolls abusing him on social media

Mike Tyson is set to fight Jake Paul in July.

Mike Tyson once sent a terrifying message to social media trolls on his Facebook page.

'Iron Mike' is one of the best boxers of his generation and one of the best to ever live.

He dominated the sport during the 1980s, becoming world champion at the age of 20 after defeating Trevor Berbick.

Tyson never ducked a fight and took on all comers, including Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks.

Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis managed to get the better of Tyson as he aged, but he earned his 'Baddest Man on the Planet' moniker for a reason.

Anyone who thought they could get away with abusing Tyson on social media were sent a stark warning back in 2020.

Accompanied by a photo, the man himself posted to his 23 million followers: "Social media made y'all way to comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it."

The 57-year-old knows a thing or two about landing the finishing blow. He retired in 2005 with a 50-6 professional record, with 44 of those wins ending in knockout.

Tyson has remained active in the boxing world, even helping train Francis Ngannou for his debut against WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

In July, Tyson will step inside the ring once more as he takes on YouTuber turned-boxer Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on July 20.

Announcing the fight, which is set to be streamed on Netflix, the platform wrote on social media: “It’s JAKE PAUL vs. MIKE TYSON — yes, really! — in a LIVE BOXING event at AT&T Stadium you won’t want to miss. Airing live on Netflix Saturday, July 20 #PaulTyson.”

Tyson said: “I’m very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul at the AT&T STADIUM IN ARLINGTON, TEXAS. He's grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a “kid” can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT.

“It's a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I plan to finish him.”
