Mike Tyson Gives Blunt Prediction For Canelo Alvarez Vs Caleb Plant, He Isn't Mincing His Words

Boxing legend Mike Tyson has predicted that Canelo Alvarez will knock out Caleb Plant in their forthcoming undisputed super-middleweight showdown.

Canelo and Plant will collide at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday in a bid to become boxing’s first undisputed super-middleweight champ.

Both boxing stars weighed in on Friday and completed their tense face-off in front of a wild crowd inside the MGM Grand.

Plant, who holds the IBF super-middleweight title, took to the scales first and weighed in at 167 pounds amid fans booing him.

Canelo, who will be defending the WBA (Super), WBC, WBO and The Ring super-middleweight titles, tipped the scale at 168 pounds in front of the cheering fans.

Tyson was at the weigh-in in Las Vegas and showered pound-for-pound king Canelo with praise, saying he has “proven himself to be the best fighter of his generation.”

When asked for a prediction for the Canelo vs Plant fight, Iron Mike responded: “I believe Canelo is going to knock him out!”

Plant, 29, is undefeated in his 21-fight professional boxing career and will make his fourth IBF title defence on Saturday against Canelo.

Canelo, who is widely regarded as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, has only been beaten by Floyd Mayweather and will be making his 20th title appearance.

Tyson, 55, doesn’t believe that Plant will last the full 12 rounds and suggested that the 31-year-old Mexican superstar is “going to f*****g kill him.”

Speaking on Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson in July, he told Badou Jack: “Caleb Plant ain’t lasting the distance.

“He’s going to get clocked. He’s going to get so f****d up. With two human beings, anything is possible, but I think this guy [Canelo] is going to f*****g kill him.

“He’s your friend? You’re going to his funeral. Wait ‘till Alvarez starts hitting that motherf*****g body.”
