Eddie Hearn believes that Anthony Joshua won't follow in the same footsteps as Tyson Fury by making a stunning WWE cameo.

Fury, 31, made a sensational appearance on SmackDown's inaugural show on Fox last Friday and followed it up with another appearance on Raw on Monday.

And Matchroom boss Hearn has praised the 'Gypsy King' for stepping inside a WWE ring.

He told iFL TV: "I thought it was great.

"I mean, I didn't think his acting was that great, you know when he was doing the fake punches.

"I love people who think WWE is real.

"Great promotion. I don't know who came up with it, but brilliant."

When he was asked if 'AJ' would make an appearance on WWE TV if there were money involved, the 40-year-old boxing promoter responded: "No, I don't think he'd be down for that.

"I don't think there was any money involved -- it was more just great exposure.

"What was it, 3.8 million people watching? It's brilliant, great, very clever.

"Again, it's another one of those things where people say, 'Oh, it's so cringe.'

"And they just don't realise the bigger picture."

Fury has been involved in a feud with WWE superstar Braun Strowman and is scheduled to appear at a major WWE press conference on Friday.

And the Brit superstar is reportedly set to have a match with the 'Monster Among Men' at the Crown Jewel PPV in Saudi Arabia later this month.

Former unified champ Fury survived an early scare against Otto Wallin last month to secure a victory on points.

And the 'Gypsy King' is slated to have a rematch with WBC champ Deontay Wilder on 22nd February in Las Vegas.

Joshua, 29, is preparing for his upcoming rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr on 7th December in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

The Brit superstar suffered his first professional defeat against the 30-year-old Mexican-American in a stunning upset at Madison Square Garden in June.
