Eddie Hearn Shares The Text Jarrell Miller Sent Him After Dillian Whyte's Alleged Failed Drug Test

Whyte reportedly tested positive for a steroid ahead of his fight against Oscar Rivas.

Eddie Hearn has revealed the scathing text message Jarrell Miller sent him in response to Dillian Whyte's alleged positive drug test.

His victory over Oscar Rivas was marred by controversy with the British fighter reportedly failing a drug test three days before his WBC governed-bout.

Whyte had to appear in front of an independent panel to explain his adverse findings to compete at the O2 Arena on July 20.

He was cleared to fight as he outpointed Rivas to claim the interim-WBC world title.

Miller, who failed not one but three drug tests ahead of his bout against Anthony Joshua, has hit out at Hearn for "backing" Whyte.

However, the Matchroom boss claims the situations are different.

"Big Baby Miller text me, 'Oh I see you're backing Dillian Whyte'," Hearn revealed.

"I'm not 'backing' Dillian Whyte, we followed a process, we followed the rules.

"He was asked to attend a hearing, which he did, and he was cleared at that hearing.

"It wasn't swept under the carpet, it wasn't a promoter saying, 'Let's try and do this.'

"There was a hearing, if you have a problem with that hearing, speak to the national UKAD government agency or whatever.

"The British Boxing Board of Control approved him to fight, he fought."

Whyte took to social media to plead his innocence after recording his 26th professional victory.

"I am so disappointed with the rubbish that has been said about me over the last few days," he wrote on Twitter.

"I have lawyers dealing with it and I have been told that I can't talk about it for good legal reasons.

"I was cleared to fight and I won that fight fair and square. Thanks for the support."

As it stands, there is still an ongoing process in which Whyte is fighting to clear his name.

Miller, on the other hand, was released by Matchroom following his positive drug tests, but he's been linked with a bout against Tyson Fury.
