Mike Tyson Vs. Roy Jones Jr Exhibition Ends In Draw

Boxing legends faced off in a exhibition bout in Los Angeles.

Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr fought to an entertaining draw in their high-profile exhibition bout.

The bout was scored a draw after the pair of boxing legends went the distance in Los Angeles.

Jones Jr opened the contest by showing off his speed and footwork.

In round two, Tyson came out of the blocks quick but Jones Jr continued to dictate the bout with his jab while initiating grappling.

Round three saw little action, more grappling and holding. Tyson charged at Jones Jr in round four, looking to up the ante with Jones Jr's jab on show again.

In round five, Tyson began to get going, landing some shots on Jones Jr including a vintage hook.

Round six, more of the same as Jones Jr tied up with Tyson who worked on the front foot, working away from close range.

Tyson worked the body in round seven and pushed the pace in round eight as he continued to target Jones Jr's midriff.

The California State Athletic Commission did NOT score the bout with World Boxing Council's unofficial judges declaring Tyson vs. Jones Jr a draw.

Speaking after the result, 'Iron' Mike said: "Sometimes that two minutes felt like three minutes.

"I'm just happy I got this under my belt and I'm going to continue to go further and do more, absolutely."

Jones Jr said: "We gotta do this again. Everybody loves Mike, I love Mike too.

"But it's tough to take the punches from Mike, so I'll go talk to my family, see how they feel about it."
