DAZN and Matchroom have announced SEVEN new additions as part of a star-studded line-up for their boxing coverage.

Matchroom head honcho Eddie Hearn recently ended a lengthy association with Sky Sports and began a five-year global contract with sports streaming platform DAZN.

The deal comes into effect on July 1 and on Monday, fans learnt just who will be fronting their upcoming broadcasts.

Laura Woods, a regular on talkSPORT and Sky Sports, has been signed up - as has another pioneering female presenter in Maya Jama, 26.

The legendary Mike Costello will provide his dulcet tones and call all the action, while former world champion boxers Tony Bellew and Andy Lee have been drafted in for analysis and comment.

The acquisition of popular pairing Darren Barker and Chris Lloyd was the final announcement from DAZN, who have made a serious statement with a slew of signings.

Commenting on the illustrious team he's assembled, Hearn said: "I couldn't be prouder of this team of talent that we have assembled for our ground-breaking new project.

"The launch of Matchroom Media has enabled us to form a cradle to grave mindset across inception to completion of our shows so we can deliver the live event experience to the viewer in the narrative and style in which we have built it.

"It's a real mixture of industry legends and fresh new talent that will give us the credibility and the energy to drive this new era forward. Mike Costello has long been the fan favourite for live boxing commentary, and we are honoured to welcome him to the team.

"Maya Jama is now one of the leading broadcasters and personalities in British television, and brings a great new perspective to the audience to the audience, as a boxing fan and well-known sports presenter. We can't wait to get started with Fight Camp next month!"

The next installment of 'Fight Camp' will commence on July 31, with three back-to-back weekends of fight action in store.

DAZN will cost £1.99 in the UK and €1.99 per month in Ireland and a subscription will grant access to at least 16 UK events annually.

From next month, all Matchroom events will only be available on DAZN, though unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is said to have one bout remaining on his contract with Sky Sports.
