Jake Paul Branded A 'F**king Comedian' For Calling Out Canelo Alvarez By Ricky Hatton

Jake Paul is a 'f**king comedian' for calling out Canelo Alvarez, says Ricky Hatton who joked that he wants to knock out the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

Paul, 24, has made a huge splash in the world of boxing following his fights inside the squared circle.

He's compiled a 3-0 professional record, having knocked out fellow online star AnEsonGib, former NBA player Nate Robinson and ex-UFC contender Ben Askren.

But his exploits in boxing have not gone down well with fans and critics alike - including boxing legend Hatton who pulled no punches on 'The Problem Child'.

'The Hitman' slammed Paul's call out of pound-for-pound superstar Canelo and took aim at his opponents.

He told The Metro: "I was listening to more bullsh*t from this Jake Paul. The interviewer turned around and said what he has done in the ring speaks for itself.

"He's boxed another f**king Youtuber, a basketball player and an MMA fighter. What he has done in the ring speaks for itself?

"Is he taking the p**s here? Paul said he doesn't see why he can't be fighting Canelo for the WBC belt in five years.

"Never mind a YouTuber, this fella is a f**king comedian! I feel like knocking him out myself!"

Paul continues to make waves in the sport ahead of his next fight.

He will face former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley on August 28 in a bout many see as a big step up in competition.

Despite the challenge the 39-year-old possesses, Paul is eyeing a world title shot.

He said: "I think I could be fighting Canelo Alvarez for the WBC or WBO championship belt.

"Really the sky is the limit and it's just about how serious I'm going to take it, and I do take it seriously, more seriously than 99.9 per cent of these 'professional boxers' that are out there.

"A lot of people are afraid to try, to get up out of their seats. They're afraid to do something different. But that's them, that's not me.

"I know that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to and that's why there's a difference between successful and unsuccessful people in this world."
