The first face-to-face meeting between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor didn't disappoint, did it?
The titans of Boxing and MMA respectively went head-to-head verbally and there were plenty of top-notch insults in there. Of course, it would have made for even better viewing had McGregor's microphone not been turned off when Mayweather was doing his shade-throwing, but there are still three more pressers to go, after all.
McGregor was out first, comically dancing around before Mayweather made his entrance and the two had the customary face-off.

The Notorious was animated as ever, shadow boxing and attempting to get under the skin of 'Money'.
Mayweather stood there motionless, with a blank expression on his face.

But by the time the second face-off rolled around, at the very end of the presser, Mayweather had been riled up somewhat and both men could be seen talking trash to one another's face in-front of the 20,000 fans in attendance and those watching around the globe.

Viewers couldn't quite pick up on what was being said, but fortunately McGregor was more than happy to reveal the exchange.

Speaking in a solo conference held after the presser, he said:

"He was trying to
say something about the gloves. I was like: 'You cried about the gloves, you
cried about the ounces in the gloves.'Then he tried to say something about MMA
next and I was, 'You're talking s**t that you won't do."
The format for last night's presser was a big chance for McGregor, who didn't have the slightest clue that he had to get up and give a speech.
"I didn't get told nothing. I didn't know [there were going to be] speeches. It's a completely different format [to UFC press conferences].
"Before Dana went up, he was like, 'You got a speech?' I've got no f***in' speech.

"I just rolled up and started talking shite. I had fun. That's the main thing."
As entertaining as the presser was, arguably the real goodness came in that solo conference when McGregor was grilled by the media in Los Angeles. That's because Mayweather's dad, Floyd Snr interrupted' Notorious' in his stride and well, the results are hilarious.
The 64-year old, who previously served as manager and trainer for his son, shouted. "I will beat your ass, I will beat your ass."

Let's hope things go up another gear in the remaining three press conferences, starting in Toronto tonight!
