Oleksandr Usyk thinks he is "capable" of beating Tyson Fury in a potential unification bout - and has aimed a "kings of kings" dig at The Gypsy King.

The newly crowned WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight champion defeated Anthony Joshua last month in a dominant display at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He is expected to face AJ again in early 2022 after the British heavyweight triggered his rematch clause against the former undisputed king of cruiserweight.

Usyk is set to fight Joshua again in March, according to promoter Eddie Hearn, but he already has his sights on dethroning Tyson Fury, who recently beat Deontay Wilder in one of the all-time great heavyweight bouts.

Asked if he can see a fight against Fury on the horizon, the Ukrainian told Sun Sport: "Yes, of course, I do regard this fight a huge one. I see him as a very good fighter, good athlete, he talks a lot, he has a tongue.

"He claims he's the king of the kings, but it's only he who thinks that. That's what I can say about him."

Usyk is extremely confident in his own abilities. The 34-year-old champion went on to claim he is capable of beating every boxer in the world.

"Before my Joshua fight everyone was saying that I haven't got a single chance to win and beat Joshua," he added.

"I used to hear those types of things throughout my life, but I am capable of beating Fury because I'm not boasting that I can just punish and beat every boxer in the world, but I just go to the gym and do my job.

"I train hard, I work hard, I put all my effort in. I'm not trying to present myself as the king of the Universe.

"I do what I have to do. I concentrate and I'm focused and I get the result according to my effort."

When asked about Fury's unpredictability in the ring following his victory against Wilder in Las Vegas, he praised his style.

"I can't comment much on his style because every fighter has his own style according to his own abilities and his own tendencies.

"So, I think the main thing is his style brings him the victories. That's the main thing. Some people like it, some people do not. But he is successful."

Usyk's promoter Alexander Krassyuk, who has previously claimed that Fury will be his fighter's next opponent after Anthony Joshua, believes The Gypsy King isn't capable of hurting Usyk.

"Wilder and Fury, in the shape they performed in the fight are a sweet dessert for Usyk because none of them performed with boxing skills," he said.

"If Usyk shows his technique, his style of technique, I don't think either Fury or Wilder can do anything serious to Usyk."
