Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have agreed to a two fight deal, according to Matchroom boxing chief, and AJ's representative, Eddie Hearn.
According to Hearn the two sides have been in talks over a deal to unify the world titles and they have agreed on a two fight deal, including finances, although there is still some details to be ironed out.
"We're making great progress," the promoter told Sky Sports, "There is still a lot to overcome. We are looking at venues and dates.

"We have the Dillian Whyte mandatory which is due before this fight.
"It's fair to say [Joshua and Fury] are in agreement regarding the financial terms of the fight.
"We've been talking to [Fury's management team] MTK, giving them the assurances from Joshua's side that all the details on the structure of the deal is approved from our side. And it is from Fury's side, as well.
"We're in a good place. It's fair to say that, in principle, both guys have agreed to that fight. Two fights.

"A lot to overcome in the meantime. We're moving in the right direction. I'm confident that both guys have giving their blessing for the fight to go ahead."
Fury meant to be facing Deontay Wilder for the third time at some point this year, it was originally expected for the summer and then October but is now more likely later in the year.
Once that is out of the way the Gypsy King is due to face Whyte, who has long been the WBC mandatory challenger and is now the interim champion.

Should that fight finally happen then Fury and AJ would be free to meet each other and everyone will hope that the 2012 Olympic champion can also keep hold of his world titles before he meets his fellow Brit in a huge unification fight to name someone the undisputed champion.
Whilst Fury is going to have to get through Wilder for a second time, and then fellow Brit Whyte, 2012 Olympic champion Joshua still has his own fights to get through.
First he must face IBF mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev, a fight that was initially meant to take place in just 10 days time on June 20th, and then has WBO mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk,

Both Whyte and Usyk are both represented by Matchroom so, in theory, could be asked by Hearn to step aside but that is highly unlikely, especially in the case of Whyte who has been waiting for a long time for his world title fight.
The Joshua vs Fury saga could still have some way to go but today's news is still a good sign.
