Tommy Fury speaks out on Paul Bamba fight situation, claims he'll still be on Mayweather vs Deji undercard

Tommy Fury provides update on fight status.

Tommy Fury has spoken out about his situation with the Paul Bamba fight and claims he'll still compete on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather vs. Deji.

The scheduled clash between Fury and Bamba has been called off after the British fighter supposedly missed weight.

He tipped the scales at 181lbs, 6lbs over the light-heavyweight limit. As for Bamba, he weighed in at 174.6lbs.

But the 23-year-old claims he hit the agreed weight, revealing that he and his opponent had received different contracts ahead of their Dubai showdown.

Fury says he's made weight and claims Bamba doesn't want to fight him. He also states that he will remain on the card, claiming he has a new opponent lined up.

Fury's opponent has yet to be named, with the unbeaten boxer looking to improve his 8-0 record.

Bamba also highlighted the fact that there were separate contracts when he spoke following the weigh-in on Saturday.

"The situation at hand right now as we know it, Global Titans has cancelled my event due to a lack of being able to come to a mutual and amicable agreement," he said.

"I wasn't given what I wanted, they've been telling people they offered me a bunch of things, ultimately when I get home and there's less to worry about I will be more vocal about this.

"At the end of the day, there were two separate contracts for the weight like I've been stating which is not fair. I don't know whose fault that is, I'm not placing blame on anybody.

"It's not right. I made weight, I did what I needed to do, I was willing to negotiate and make things happen."

So, it appears Bamba will not compete on the undercard of Mayweather vs. Deji.

Fury, on the other hand, seems set to face another opponent.
