YouTuber Deji set to face Floyd Mayweather in exhibition fight

YouTuber Deji set to face Floyd Mayweather in exhibition fight

The YouTuber, brother of KSI, is deep in talks for his biggest fight to date, with one of the greatest of all time.

British YouTuber Deji is reportedly set to fight Floyd Mayweather, with the two men 'deep' in negotiations for an exhibition bout later in the year.

Mayweather is one of the greatest boxers of all time but in the past few years he has become the king of exhibition fights, taking on all sorts of opponents.

One could argue he's been doing it since beating Conor McGregor in 2017, but that was an actual fight, but officially he started doing it in 2018, when he beat Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.

Since then he's taken on Logan Paul and Don Moore, and will be coming up against MMA star Mikuru Asakura later this month, but he's not stopping there.

According to the Mirror, 'Money' is in talks to fight Deji, whose brother is KSI, in Dubai, with the date of November 13th having already been discussed.

The fight will take place at the Coca-Cola Arena, where he fought Moore, as a Global Titans Fight Series event, over six or eight rounds.

The fight is not 100% agreed but it is getting close, with Mayweather's team having apparently approached the social media star last week.

His previous fight, against Moore, didn't attract much attention but Deji has a huge following on socials and YouTube and would likely have more eyes on it.

The Brit originally took on Jake Paul in an exhibition fight on the undercard of their brothers' first meeting, in 2018, where he lost to the American.

He took two more losses before eventually picking up his first win last month, against Yousef Saleh Erakat, once again on his brother's undercard, with KSI cheering him on.

Fighting Deji is likely to antagonise the younger Paul brother, with Jake having previously claimed that Mayweather is 'scared' of fighting the YouTuber who has never fought a professional boxer before.

The 45-year-old, with a professional record of 50-0, might be interested to see how the 25-year-old, who has also repeatedly called out Mayweather's last official opponent, McGregor, does in his next fight.

Paul comes up against another former UFC star, having fought two others previously, in the shape of Anderson Silva. The Brazilian has at least had some professional boxing fights before this one.
