Manchester City’s latest signing Erling Haaland has revealed he is raring to play in front of the club’s fans next season.
Having secured the services of one of the world's most devastating strikers from Borussia Dortmund this summer, a key aspect that has left club supporters excited is Haaland's connections to the blue side of Manchester.
Haaland has attended games at Maine Road, where his father Alf-Inge played for three seasons and emerged as a fan favourite before playing a crucial role in bringing his son to the Etihad Stadium amid widespread interest in his signature across Europe.
In his first interview as a Manchester City player, the Norwegian revealed he had been a lifelong Manchester City fan and his affiliation with his new side deep rooted from the days when his father represented the club - between 2000 and 2003.

As he prepares for pre-season ahead of his first campaign in sky blue colours, the young striker has expressed he is rubbing his hands at the prospect of playing in front of the club’s passionate fanbase next season.
"I am looking forward to it (playing in front of the City fans)”, the Leeds-born forward said in special father-son sit down with Alfie Haaland, as featured on Manchester City’s official YouTube channel.
"I have been to many Manchester City games and I know how it is and I am looking forward to it, to get to know them (the City fans, to celebrate with them, in front of them."

The former RB Salzburg talisman has previously revealed his admiration for the Etihad Stadium, after a clip of Haaland walking down the tunnel in Borussia Dortmund colours with ex-teammate Jude Bellingham surfaced, where he notably described the ground as beautiful.
In his first interview in a Manchester City shirt, Haaland said: "First of all, I have been (to the Etihad Stadium) a couple of times before, watching games.
"I like it, it is beautiful, I like the colour. I played there, a big huge stadium, and I am looking forward to playing there."

With Haaland arriving to the Etihad Stadium as perhaps the first global superstar since the club's signing of Robinho in 2008, one can gauge the feeling is mutual as City fans themselves cannot wait to see the striking sensation ply his trade in sky blue next term.
