Triple H Shares A Grim Picture After Ripping His Pectoral Muscle

Even by WWE standards, this is RAW.

We get it, guys. Wrestling isn't real. Well, WWE wrestling isn't real. However, as anyone who has ever been on the receiving end of a Tombstone Piledriver from their big brother knows, the risks these guys take are definitely real.

World Wrestling Entertainment's top boy and former champion Triple H has shared a picture on his Twitter that shows exactly how true that it.

In the interests of not ruining anyone's day, if you're eating your lunch, maybe give it a few seconds.

You see, 'The Game' - as he's known to the WWE faithful - suffered an extremely painful tear to his pectoral muscles during a match at the recent WWE Crown Jewel event. If he were a footballer, that would put him out for the season, but he's made of a lot sterner stuff than those guys.

Triple H absolutely thugged it out to the end of the match and even picked up a win for his team, which included 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels. That's commitment. It's also extremely painful by the looks of it.

The two managed to scrape to victory against The Undertaker and Kane (what is this, 1997?) but Triple H was obviously injured throughout a lot of the fight.

After the fight ended, he shared the picture with the caption: "Surgery in the AM...

"...makes you stronger."

Ouch. It's so bad that he will have to have surgery on it? Bloody hell. I'd have chucked in the towel for way less than that.

Anyway, that means that he is likely to be out of the ring for a very long time indeed. Surgery takes time to heal up, after all.

That could mean that he will most likely miss out on WrestleMania 35 - the biggest night in the professional wrestling calendar - where he had been rumoured to be down to fight Batista, who is now probably better known as Dave Bautista, one of the stars of the Guardians of the Galaxy films and Avengers: Infinity War.

Either way, Triple H will not be struggling for work. Even though he still gets into the ring now and again, his bread and butter nowadays is his work as the chief of the WWE up and comers promotion, NXT.

He should still be able to appear on screen for that, even if he has recently had surgery. Here's hoping he can hold a microphone in his hand afterwards.

They're tougher than you think, these wrestling LADs.
