Reigning world champion Max Verstappen has revealed he had thought about leaving Red Bull for another Formula 1 team.
Back in 2016, the talented Verstappen joined Red Bull from Toro Rosso and he went on to win the Spanish Grand Prix on his debut.
His victory in Spain made him the youngest race winner in the history of the sport.

Since then, he has claimed two F1 world titles and is well on course to win his third successive championship as his Red Bull car remains levels above the rest of the grid.
However, the Dutchman has revealed that he once thought about leaving Red Bull for another F1 team earlier on in his career.
Speaking to RacingNews365, Verstappen said: “Of course, I have sometimes wondered whether it will all work. I have sometimes had the thought 'maybe I should leave', but at the same time I was also developing myself a lot as a driver.”

In last week’s British Grand Prix, Verstappen was victorious once again but did admit that second-placed Lando Norris would have won if he had the better car.
He said: “Unfortunately that's how Formula 1 works. If Lando had been in a race-winning car he would have won, it's that simple.”
Norris, who is currently racing for McLaren has been linked with a surprise move to Red Bull.

However, Verstappen has advised Norris to wait for the good times to return to McLaren instead of seeking a move away.
He said: “Sometimes you have to stick to the process and believe in it. And people keep saying 'yes, I believe in it', but you really have to believe in it and know that then you attract the right people to put together a winning team and to bring everything together.
“People often say that the grass is greener on the other side, but this is often not true. And I think that's important to remember in situations like this.”
F1 will return next weekend with the Hungarian Grand Prix, which will take place in Budapest.
