Arsenal Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale Trolls Chelsea Fans After Bukayo Saka's Late Penalty At Stamford Bridge

Arsenal Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale Trolls Chelsea Fans After Bukayo Saka's Late Penalty At Stamford Bridge

Top class s**thousery again from Ramsdale.

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has cemented his status as one the biggest wind-up merchants in the Premier League after trolling Chelsea fans on Wednesday.

Ramsdale got under the skin of Blues supporters as Arsenal returned to winning ways with an impressive 4-2 victory away at Stamford Bridge.

The match was finely poised at half-time with the game level at 2-2; Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith-Rowe scoring for Arsenal, with Timo Werner and Cesar Azpilicueta on the scoresheet for Chelsea.

Nketiah got his second of the match after the break to put Arsenal ahead before the visitors were awarded a penalty late in the game when Bukayo Saka went down in the box under pressure from Azpilicueta.

The England international picked himself up to score in the second minute of added time, sealing a crucial victory for Arsenal.

After seeing Saka bury the penalty, Ramsdale turned around and ran back towards his goal to cheekily wave at the Chelsea supporters.

The fans behind the goal then launched a volley of expletives back at the Arsenal goalkeeper.

Ramsdale has developed a reputation for winding up opposition fans during matches this season.

Earlier in the campaign, he annoyed Leicester supporters by joining in their 'you’re s**t' chant as he went to take a goal kick.

He then wound up Leeds United fans with an exuberant celebration in a 4-1 win for Arsenal at Elland Road.

Ramsdale later joked that he’d pocketed £17 from collecting all of the coins that were thrown at him from Leeds supporters.

Ramsdale is already a fan favourite at the Emirates and Arsenal supporters on social media were quick to praise his antics at Stamford Bridge.

“He might still make the occasional mistake but you cannot replace this, elite elite elite,” wrote one fan on Twitter.

Another added: “Probably the best addition Arteta will ever make to the club. I could not possibly love @AaronRamsdale98 more than I do.

“His antics, his passion, his love for the club. It’s perfect.”

Arsenal remain fifth after their win over Chelsea but are now level on points with fourth-place Tottenham, having played the same number of games.

The Gunners next face Manchester United on Saturday in another crucial match in the race for the top four.
