Tammy Abraham's Bizarre Clause In AS Roma Contract That Could Prevent Premier League Return

Tammy Abraham's Bizarre Clause In AS Roma Contract That Could Prevent Premier League Return

Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with Tammy Abraham.

Tammy Abraham has a bizarre clause in his AS Roma contract that could prevent a stunning transfer back to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a prolific campaign last season as he scored an impressive 27 goals in 53 games across all competitions.

His performances in Serie A have reportedly alerted Manchester United and Arsenal, who are both thought to be keen on a move for the star forward.

However, Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport report that the England international is happy in Rome and does not want to leave anytime soon.

They also claim that his agent Neil Fewings receives a whopping £345,000 for every transfer window the player stays at the club.

So, Man United and Arsenal may struggle to lure him away from Italy considering the agent-related clause.

Erik ten Hag is believed to be eyeing a new forward following Edinson Cavani's Old Trafford departure and doubts over Cristiano Ronaldo's long-term future.

The Gunners are also in the market for a frontman as they look to snap up Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus.

Abraham's old club Chelsea have not expressed an interest in resigning their former player, but they will be able to acquire him for £69 million in 2023 due to their buy-back clause.

He scored 30 goals for the Stamford Bridge outfit before joining Roma on a permanent deal.

The Blues, though, could look to make a move for Abraham should Man United and Arsenal up their interest.
