Manchester United fans noticed something about Alejandro Garnacho's contract signing

Alejandro Garnacho put pen to paper on a new deal at Manchester United on Friday, but fans couldn't take their eyes on one small detail.

Garnacho is the latest player to come through United's famed youth academy, and has made a real splash in his first season in the senior team.

Late goals against both Fulham and West Ham United, in the Premier League and FA Cup respectively, have been huge game winning moments.

However, there has been one issue for fans, with the forward's contract set to expire at the end of next season, in July 2024, and them not wanting to see a repeat of the first time Paul Pogba left the club for free.

However, on Friday, any speculation about his future was put to bed, as the 19-year-old put pen to paper on a new deal that will see him stay at Old Trafford until 2028, in theory.

According to reports, the Spanish born forward, who has elected to represent Argentina at senior international level, has increased his wages ten-fold to £50,000-a-week.

Whilst some fans were obviously celebrating the latest happy news for their club, especially for a great distraction after the team threw away a two goal lead against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday, others got hung up on another detail.

Many in the comments on social media were too busy noticing that Garnacho looked to have new gnashers in his photograph for the contract signing.

"Blud got some new teeth," noted one fan.

"Spending his signing on fee in Turkey by the looks of it," joked another.

Another brought up the reaction of manager Erik ten Hag and the fans, adding, "New contract, new teeth. Smiles all round!"

"Future looks bright, but them veneers look even brighter," said a fourth.

Comparing the new teeth to the old, another, perhaps harshly, posted, "Even had his peggies done so it doesn’t look like he’s been eating bricks."

"Yo he fixed his teeth. That dentist done wonders for real," replied a sixth supporter.

Another simply stated, "I need to go to that dentist, love it."

The news of Garnacho's new contract comes as he appears to be on the way back from an injury that has kept him out for a number of weeks.

Argentina were hoping that he would be able to play for them in the under 20s World Cup, that is due to kick off in the South American country on May 20th.

However, the club have stopped him from joining up with his country, as he is needed for the last couple of weeks of the Premier League and the FA Cup final, against local rivals Manchester City.
