Alejandro Garnacho tried to hide dramatic new look in Man Utd training before Antony snatched his hat

The 18-year-old was trolled by his United teammates.

Alejandro Garnacho attempted to hide his new look in Manchester United training on Wednesday and it backfired spectacularly.

Spirits in the Red Devils camp are incredibly high following a 3-0 win over Leicester City on Sunday afternoon. United could finish the week with their first trophy since 2017 if they manage to beat Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

Before that, they have the second leg of their Europa League playoff clash with Barcelona at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag's side are currently slight favourites following an enthralling 2-2 draw at the Camp Nou last Thursday.

Everyone involved with the club has a reason to be feeling fine. Well, almost everyone.

Garnacho arrived at Carrington wearing a hat, which his teammates attempted to remove throughout the afternoon. Luke Shaw was the first to have a go to no avail.

It was Antony who managed to get his hands on the hat and he removed it to reveal the 18-year-old's new bleach blonde locks. Check it out in the player above.

The winger clearly wanted to save the new trim for when United are in action against Barcelona on Thursday. Among the players who were laughing at Antony's actions were Jadon Sancho and Casemiro, as well as Victor Lindelof.

Garnacho has enjoyed a breakout campaign, making 25 appearances in all competitions. He's scored three goals and provided four assists.

He's close to signing a five-year extension with United, who he joined from Atletico Madrid in 2020.

Ten Hag called for United to put in the best performance of their season against Barcelona. He also spoke at length about Sir Alex Ferguson after being spotted enjoying dinner with the former United manager on Tuesday.

When asked how it feels to have the backing of Ferguson, the Dutch coach replied: "It's massive.

"I always enjoy speaking with people who have a lot of knowledge and experience, and he wants to share it. He wants to help and support.

"You feel Manchester United is his club. He feels so committed and wants us to do well. "It was a great night and I'm looking forward to the next night with him."

Ten Hag continued: ""We all want to play big games. When we were young, we dreamed of it and now we are in position.

"We really enjoy it and are really excited. We have to give our best if we want to match with the best."
