Allan Saint-Maximin scores incredible last minute volley, the technique was special

Allan Saint-Maximin scored his best goal in a Newcastle shirt.

Allan Saint-Maximin scored an incredible 90th minute volley to rescue a point for Newcastle at Wolves.

Eddie Howe's side were trailing 1-0 thanks to a superb first-half strike from long-range specialist Ruben Neves.

But just when the Portugal international thought he'd scored the goal of the game, Saint-Maximin popped up with an absolutely outrageous effort late on.

The ball was only cleared to the edge of the area and it set up nicely for Saint-Maximin, who caught his effort so sweetly and left Jose Sa with no chance.

We're looking at a potential goal of the season contender and possibly even a Puskas award nominee.

Saint-Maximin, easily the most enjoyable player to watch in the Premier League, was utterly unplayable against champions Manchester City in last week's 3-3 draw and registered two assists.

He didn't quite found the same performance level at Molineux but his first goal of the season was one of the highest quality.

The Magpies nearly snatched a late winner when Elliot Anderson hit the bar with a close-range header.

Wolves, who remain winless this term, had gone 2-0 up in the game when Raul Jimenez found the net in the 81st minute but Pedro Neto was deemed to have committed a foul in the build-up.
