The crossover we all wanted and needed in our lives has finally arrived.
Socceroos goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne has officially become the Grey Wiggle, joining the iconic Aussie group to make a cameo appearance.
Redmayne became Australian football’s golden son after his penalty heroics against Peru helped his country qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Dancing across the goal line and putting off Alex Valera, many labelled the shot-stopper the ‘Grey Wiggle’ for his hilarious and very distracting arm-waving actions.
At one point, he even threw the opposition goalkeeper's water bottle into the crowd after realising it had penalty tactics written on it.
Legendary.
So it has been no surprise to see the 'Grey Wiggle' nickname stick, although now it has become a reality.
The legendary Australian children’s entertainment group have officially initiated the big man as their next member.

In a video posted online, Redmayne and The Wiggles came together to put on a little dance akin to the ridiculous penalty antics the keeper produced against Peru.
Swapping the grey football kit for a grey Wiggles jersey, the Socceroo joined the crew to perform various dances and songs in some videos for their YouTube channel.
It was a match made in heaven.
Red Wiggle Simon Pryce says he had been following Australia’s journey to the World Cup and had been on the edge of his seat when Redmayne decided to incorporate a dance or two into his tactics.
He said: “To save that last penalty was unbelievable and the way in which he did it was brilliant. It was an iconic moment in sport, so we approached him and invited him in with the honorary title of the Grey Wiggle.”

Redmayne says he usually finds himself watching the children’s group at home because of his 18-month-old daughter.
He said: “The Wiggles are on my television at home all day, so it’s a bit surreal, recording songs which I know back to front, with these guys.”
As for the jersey, it could be making an appearance in Qatar.
Redmayne added: “It fits well, I think I can play in this, perhaps I can wear it underneath my official shirt so I can take a bit of Wiggle-power with me next time I play.

Redmayne shot to international football fame for his ridiculousness, with many hoping to catch more of it come November in Qatar.
He has long been clowning along the goal line in the A-League and to see the keeper dancing around, crouching down, jumping up, and attempting to make saves on football’s biggest stage would be a treat.
The Sydney FC goalkeeper has been selected for the upcoming internationals against New Zealand and will be hoping to secure himself a seat on the plane heading to Qatar.
