In an interview with Rob Moore, Tate discussed a number of individuals he's considered stepping into a ring with. One name mentioned was Mayweather, who is regarded as one of the best boxers of his generation.

'Money' retired from official competition in 2017 with a perfect 5-0 record. Since then, he's returned to action in a string of exhibition bouts, with the next set to be against YouTuber Deji on November 13.

Tate went one step further in his praise, calling Mayweather a personal 'hero' of his after a stellar career. Mayweather's managed to accumulate a net worth of $450 million thanks to a number of business ventures outside the ring.

He continued: "I love his story. I love his confidence. I love how he self-hypnotizes. Every single word out of his mouth is self-hypnosis. I love how he hypnotizes his opponents. His style. Everyone says he’s boring, he is not boring. If you appreciate defense he is the best there’s ever been.
