Argentina and Mexico fans came to blows in shocking scenes at the World Cup in Qatar.
The two sides meet at the Lusail Stadium in a huge Group C clash on Saturday, with both sides winless in their opening fixtures.
But fans from both countries were involved in a violent brawl on Wednesday in what would appear to be the first instance of trouble amongst supporters.
It happened at Al Bidda Park in Doha in one of FIFA's fan zones designed to promote social interaction between different nations.
In footage circulating on social media, Mexico supporters could be heard chanting "F**k Messi", provoking La Albiceleste fans by talking bad about their talisman after their shock 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia.
A brawl ensued, with punches and kicks thrown. Mexican journalist Omar Nino was there at the scene of the fight and reported that some fans did require treatment for minor injuries.
Messi opened the scoring for Argentina against Saudi Arabia with a cool penalty 10 minutes into Monday's clash but the Green Falcons produced a stunning comeback in the second half.
Goals from Saleh Al-Shehri and Salem Al-Dawsari early on in the second half sent the rabid Saudi fans into raptures and recorded one of the greatest upsets in World Cup history.

Meanwhile, Mexico were held to a 0-0 draw with Poland in their opening match - with legendary goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa saving a Robert Lewandowski penalty in the second half.
It appears as though security will have to be ramped up for what promises to be a very spicy encounter on and off the pitch at 7pm on Saturday.
The Saudi fans did mock Messi and Argentina after Monday's win by performing Cristiano Ronaldo's 'SIUUU' celebration outside the stadium - though they did not react on this occasion.
